About Me
I have always had a love for music. Music is genetic for me. I come from a family of musicians, and have been playing guitar since I was a kid. Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, I feel that I was subjected to music that was all over the map as well. I found myself dissecting songs, trying to figure out why things sounded the way they did in an effort to understand why I loved certain songs so much. When I moved to Louisville for my undergrad (where I studied entertainment business), I was introduced to the incredible indie rock scene of the city. I wanted to learn everything about the bands from town. My curiosity for music and audio has allowed to me explore the art form we love so much in new ways daily. Now, I find myself in Nashville after attending the Blackbird Academy to study audio engineering. Most recently, I received a masters degree in Music Business from the Berklee College of Music, all while recording and mixing projects with clients.
Writing and performing music is such a personal thing, and that is a concept to not take lightly. My goal with every project is to create a space where artists are motivated, comfortable and inclusive, while promoting a level of creativity where every idea is a good one. I find myself telling clients constantly that my job is simply to be a vehicle to take their project from point A to point B. It takes a lot for someone to be willing to put who they are out to the world with their music. It should take a lot from the technical side of the process to ensure that music is something artists are proud of.
